In 2004, Hellen created Manny and Bo, an idea that would be secretly workshopped in their spare time for almost 2 decades. A prolific artist that graduated from the Orange County High School of the Arts as well as the Laguna College of Art and Design, Hellen has carved out their own space in the independent art scene. Hellen's art is popular with Libertarian Socialists and Anarchists. While they mainly use Procreate and Clip Studio Paint to create most of their artwork, they prefer traditional art to digital and are skilled in pencil and paper, marker and ink, and oil painting. They identify as nonbinary. They are fine with any/all pronouns, but they prefer they/them.
Nick met Hellen on their first day of school at the Orange County High School of the Arts. Eventually the two of them would become best friends while Nick was attending Cal State Fullerton, and in 2021 Hellen invited Nick onto the Manny and Bo team as co-creator. Nick took what Hellen had created and transformed it into something magnificent. The two of them are still working to this day on this new version of Manny and Bo, which is exactly the show they always wanted to make. Nick enjoys traveling and his favorite video game is Silent Hill 2.
